Finding your books in your Sony Reader software To sync your Kobo eBooks to your Sony Reader, you need to make sure they are available in your Sony Reader PC/Mac software, and that you are using the latest version of the software. • Open the Sony Reader software on your PC or Mac computer. Note: If you don't see your book in this section, select All books available from the dropdown menu. • If a book has an arrow on the cover, it means it's not yet synced to your Sony Reader software. • Click the arrow at the bottom of a book's cover to download it. • Click the download icon at the bottom left of the screen to download all of your books at once. The books will now appear in the All Available Books section of your Library in the Sony Reader software on your PC or Mac computer. You can read your book directly in the Sony Reader application, or sync the book to your Sony eReader, following the instructions below. Syncing your Kobo eBooks to your Sony Reader using the Sony Reader software • Open the Sony Reader software for your PC or Mac desktop computer. • Connect your eReader to your computer using your USB cable. • Your eReader will ask if you want the computer to recognize your device. • In your Sony Reader software on your computer, click the My Library tab. • Tap the covers of the books you want to sync to your eReader. • Select the Copy to Reader button at the bottom left corner of the screen. • Your Kobo eBooks will sync to your Sony Reader. • When your content has finished syncing, eject your eReader from your computer. When possible, we recommend. However, there are a few models of Sony Reader (like the Reader Wi-Fi) that are not compatible with ADE. In these cases, instead of ADE, you can use Sony's Reader for PC/Mac software to transfer eBooks from your computer to your Reader. How to transfer eBooks using Reader for PC/Mac • Install or on your computer. • Plug your Sony Reader into your computer. If prompted, select Data Transfer Mode on your Reader. • Open Reader for PC/Mac. When you launch the Reader software for the first time, you may be prompted to log in with your Kobo Bookstore account (you can choose to Sign in later). • Click the 'Info' icon, then make sure Reader for PC/Mac and your Sony Reader are authorized with the same Adobe ID. You may need to click Authorize or, if your software and/or device is already authorized, follow on-screen prompts to ensure that your software and device have matching Adobe IDs. • Find the eBook you've just downloaded (by default, it goes to your 'Downloads' folder), then right-click on it (or control-click on a Mac). • Mouse over Open with and select Reader for PC or Mac. • From 'My Library' in Reader for PC/Mac, select the eBook you'd like to transfer and click the bottom-left button (which looks like this: ).
